I took a road trip up to Grass Valley today, for one final post-stemcell therapy appointment with Dr. Richnak. I brought up the MRI for the right knee, just in case he wanted to see it (he did). Both knees are stable and doing great. I knew they were, just based on the things I have been doing the last 6 months: hiked 65 miles of the Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail; rode over 100 miles on the American River Parkway in two days; boot camp; yoga; and lots of walks and bike rides. I was a bit early for the appointment; but, Christina took me right back (we air hugged). She was so happy to hear how good my knee was doing. D. Marie also came in to give me a hug (a real one)! This team just amazes me.
I am hopeful that it will be a long while before I have to go back; but I know I will be in good hands when I do!
