There were a few milestones this last week:
- It was the first week I did not wear the brace and KT Tape full time. I still wear the brace when I exercise or in unknown situations; such as riding the Muni in San Francisco. Yes, I did that last weekend in the middle of the Corona virus uncertainty - living life on the edge!
- I have done a number of my physical therapy homework exercises without the brace. This was not intentional, I just forgot to put it on one morning and did them.
- I wore jeans for the first time since prior to the procedure. The knee brace did not fit right over the jeans.
- I was finally able to hike with friends in the foothills today! We hit the trail at Rattlesnake Bar at Folsom lake and headed north along the North Fork of the American River. It felt good to get in 6 miles of rolling hills. My legs are a bit tired and sore tonight; but it's a good kind of tired! (Oops Dan, I only did one round of the PT homework today.)
I am looking forward to more hikes, and the return to boot camp tomorrow night.
