You'll Never Be This Lucky Again
"You'll never be this lucky again." That is what my 90 year old dad said to me this past weekend as I was lamenting the fact that I did not get the back 40 mowed before the stem cell procedure; and am having to curtail my activities for the knee to heal and remodel. He went on to explain that the procedure went so well; that it was up to me to follow through with the recommended activity and not to push it. Basically, don't screw it up!
Each day the knee is getting better and better; and walking is getting easier and easier. The knee is stiff in the morning; but once I start moving and get the infrared heat and brace on it then it is ready to go. I have mastered the stairs at work; and was very excited to see yoga on the list of activities for this week! This is a good thing as it is yoga night tomorrow with my moonlighting job.
I go in for the physical therapy consult on Friday and will then have PT sessions twice a week for 6 or so weeks. I am antsy to get started! The back 40 can wait.
