It Never Gets Easier, You Just Get Stronger

Some days it does not seem like any progress is being made, and then I will have a day when I realize, "Hey, when I first did this exercise, I could barely do 5 of these things in a minute; now I am able to do 15!"  The exercise is the same; but somehow is starting to feel easier.  But if it is easier, why is it still sweat inducing?  Yeah, it's not easier; that is strength returning.

This weekend, I doubled the mileage on my Saturday morning run/walk; and added rolling hills to my bike ride on Sunday.  I may have jumped the gun on the hills; but I figured it was best to try it on the bike than a run or a hike; since I could just shift gears to make it manageable.  It was good to see the "Cliffs of Insanity" along the north side of Lake Natoma again.
The knee had no problems with the weekend shenanigans!  Now to get my endurance back; but that will come as I increase the activity level and duration.

In the meantime, I will keep doing the physical therapy exercises with the help of my dog, Dallas:
Dallas:  Hey, you are on the floor!  I must put my face in your face!
Dallas:  Oh, you are doing the figure 4 bridges!  Your foot needs to rub my belly; while I pretend I am not in your way.

She definitely does not make things easier; but adding her resistance can only make me stronger.
