I made it 2 weeks before the sight of the native California grasses swallowing up the back 40 could no longer keep me from mowing it. I put out a request for backup just in case the knee screamed; but it had no problem! I cannot say the same for the mower or a few of Dallas' toys. The mower's auto-shutoff did not auto-shutoff. This was okay, as I knew it would take at least two laps around and a tank of gas. I was just finishing the second lap when it sputtered out of gas. The back 40 is good for another couple of weeks!
And the knee? It is doing fantastic. For most of the day, the pain is minimal if any; but by the time evening rolls around it talks to me a bit. Kicking back with the heating pad calms it right down. I am optimistic that the stem cells are differentiating (turning into other cells) to rebuild what they can in the knee.
